Apple Watch Series 11

Apple Watch Series 11 — 24-Hour Battery and Hypertension Notifications

Two changes make Series 11 worth the upgrade, and neither is about speed. Battery life now reaches 24 hours of normal use, up from 18 — which is what finally makes wearing it overnight for sleep tracking practical without hunting for a charger the next morning. And hypertension notifications can quietly flag signs of consistently high blood pressure over 30 days, a condition many people carry for years without knowing.

The S10 chip carries over from Series 10, so day-to-day speed is unchanged. If you already wear a Series 10, that is worth knowing before you buy. Coming from a Series 7 or earlier, the difference in battery, display, and health features is substantial.

Health tracking that runs while you sleep

Sleep score summarises how you actually slept rather than just how long. Sleep apnea notifications watch for breathing disturbances over time. The ECG app can check for atrial fibrillation from your wrist, and irregular rhythm and high and low heart rate notifications run in the background without you doing anything. Blood oxygen, wrist temperature, and the Vitals app fill in the rest of the picture.

Tougher glass, brighter outdoors

The aluminium models use Ion-X glass with a ceramic coating that resists scratches twice as well as Series 10 — a real difference on a watch that meets doorframes and desk edges daily. The Always-On LTPO OLED display stays readable in direct sunlight and dims down to almost nothing at night.

Training that adapts to you

Training Load shows whether you are building fitness or overreaching. Workout Views let you see the metrics that matter for your sport. Running gets pace, power, and Race Route; swimming tracks strokes and laps at 50m water resistance; hiking adds waypoints and Backtrack for finding your way out.

Connected without your phone

Cellular models now support 5G, so you can take calls, stream music, and reach emergency services with your iPhone left at home. Crash Detection, Fall Detection, and Emergency SOS work whether or not you have a cellular plan.

Two sizes, two materials

42mm or 46mm, in aluminium (Rose Gold, Silver, Space Gray, Jet Black) or titanium (Gold, Natural, Slate). Titanium is heavier and more scratch-resistant; aluminium is lighter and easier to live with day to day.
