General Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before purchase and service requests.
- We follow the warranty policy issued by international, domestic, or Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS) authorities, as well as the respective brand policy for each product.
- Every Apple product comes with a 345-day Official Warranty. If any warranty-related issue arises during the warranty period, MacZen BD will process the warranty claim with Apple at no additional charge to the customer.
- Before unboxing any product, the customer must carefully verify the color, model, specifications, and size.
- Full payment of the agreed price must be completed before unboxing any product. Please note that once a product has been unboxed, cancellation of the purchase is not possible. Should the customer wish to cancel prior to unboxing, a cancellation fee of 20% of the product price will be charged.
- If a defect is discovered immediately after purchase on a warranted product, the issue will be resolved through repair or immediate replacement depending on the nature of the defect. If the specific model cannot be repaired and an identical or equivalent unit is unavailable in stock, a replacement of the same model may be offered subject to depreciation and price adjustment. However, MacZen BD will not be held liable for any damage discovered outside our outlet that falls beyond the scope of the warranty.
- Warranty does not apply to all products. It is only valid for products purchased with a specified warranty period, as mentioned in the official bill or invoice issued by MacZen BD.
- MacZen BD bears no responsibility for any loss or damage to software or data that occurs during product use or while availing our services. This includes data recovery and software restoration, for which MacZen BD assumes no liability.
- There is no fixed turnaround time for product return after service completion. Depending on the model, this may range from 5–6 days up to 35–40 days or more, as required parts are often not locally stocked and must be imported from abroad, which is a time-consuming process.
- In the event of a global pandemic, political unrest, or any situation resulting in flight suspensions where the warranty period has expired, MacZen BD will take responsibility for repair costs. However, due to the need for parts importation or overseas repair, the process may take 2–3 months or longer.
- Most warranty claims do not involve on-site repair; rather, the damaged components are replaced — the majority of which are sourced from overseas.
- Laptop setup, software installation, and operating system customization performed at the time of sale are not covered under warranty.
- MacZen BD does not set any passwords or security codes on laptops or any other devices at the time of delivery. The customer bears full responsibility for any BIOS password or device security settings. These are not covered under warranty.
- MacZen BD holds no liability for any complimentary software or hardware tuning provided during or after the warranty period.
- For any service not covered under warranty, MacZen BD will determine applicable charges in mutual agreement with the customer.
- A laptop display with 1 to 3 dead pixels is not eligible for a warranty claim. A warranty claim may only be raised if 4 or more dead pixels are present.
- If the serial number sticker on a product is partially or fully removed or damaged, the warranty will be void and no claim can be made.
- Writing on a product with permanent ink will immediately void the warranty.
- Charging cables and adapters supplied with a product are not covered under the product warranty, even if the product itself carries a valid warranty.
- If the original warranty receipt for a product is lost, the product may still be accepted for a warranty claim upon submission of the purchase receipt along with appropriate supporting proof.
